The 8 Best Kitchen Remodelers in Naperville

Compare the 8 best kitchen remodelers in Naperville, IL, with real customer reviews, credentials, and honest notes on where each company is strongest.

Modern kitchen remodeling in Oswego, IL, featuring a large brown island with pendant lighting and stainless steel appliances.

Naperville has one of the widest ranges of housing stock in the western suburbs, and it shows up in kitchens more than anywhere else in the house. Split-levels and ranches from the 1960s and 70s were built with separate, walled-off cooking areas, while the newer subdivisions came with far bigger footprints and a different idea of where the kitchen sits in the house.

Both reward a remodeler who can read a floor plan and a load path, and both need one who will pull the permits the city requires before a wall comes down.

The eight companies below all perform kitchen remodeling and all publicly serve Naperville. We have listed our own kitchen remodeling work first, then seven other firms worth a phone call, each with real quoted reviews and an honest note on where they are strongest.

1. Silhouette Builders

We are a design-build firm headquartered in Yorkville, about twenty-five minutes southwest of Naperville, and kitchens are a large part of what we build.

Our team has completed more than 40 kitchen remodels and over 50 bathrooms, all under one contract covering design, permits, carpentry, and project management.

Every kitchen begins with 2D and 3D drawings, so you approve the finished layout before we order a single cabinet. The detailed quote we hand you is the number we build to.

ZipWall dust barriers go up before demolition, a daily project log with photos goes out while we work, and every kitchen carries a 5-year workmanship warranty on top of the manufacturer coverage on the Kohler, Moen, and Andersen products we install.

We return at six months and again at twelve to check everything over. Josh Harvey, our owner, stays involved from first walkthrough to final punch list.

Josh and his crew did an amazing job on both my kitchen as well as laundry room. They installed a new kitchen backsplash, painted my kitchen cabinets, tiled and painted my laundry room and installed new lighting throughout my house. Josh was very detailed and made sure that everything that was done was done to my liking. I would not hesitate to recommend Silhouette Builders to my friends and family and I will definitely be calling them for future remodeling projects

2. The Kitchen Master

Nearly fifty years in the trade buys a certain kind of knowledge, and The Kitchen Master has been in business since 1977, working today out of Naperville. Their 4,000 square foot showroom on Industrial Drive lets you stand inside a full kitchen vignette before committing to a door style.

Design credentials are the real differentiator here. The firm carries NKBA Certified Kitchen Designer and Certified Bathroom Designer credentials in house, holds NARI of Greater Chicagoland and Naperville Chamber membership, and has collected eleven Houzz service awards along with Guild Quality’s Guildmaster with Distinction. Installers are employees on their own payroll.

One honest note before you call: their published reviews skew older, with most of the recent third-party volume describing bathrooms, and the testimonials on their own website identify customers only by their initials.

What customers have written about them:

When we purchased a home in Naperville, we knew that we would install a new kitchen, but were unsure about any other changes. After consulting with several kitchen and bath remodelers, we found The Kitchen Master, and designer, Adam Hartig.

The Kitchen Master is a very first class company. We worked with Adam Hartig, who is a true expert in his field. He is thoroughly knowledgeable and up to date on kitchen design.

3. Reliable Home Improvement & Supply, Inc.

The Ducato family has been remodeling Naperville homes out of a Ferry Road shop since 1967, which makes Reliable the oldest continuously operating remodeler on this list by a decade. Their service page names the neighborhoods it works in: Downtown Naperville, East Highlands, Hobson West, Tall Grass, Brookdale.

They run an in-house architectural and planning department, hold EPA Lead-Safe certification along with NKBA and NARI membership, and back their work with a seven-year warranty program. Best of Naperville named them Best Home Remodeler eight times between 2015 and 2024.

Worth knowing before you call: their Angi rating sits at 4.2 across 23 reviews, with a handful of substantive one-star complaints. Those negative reviews are all more than a decade old, and the recent record is strong, but a fair comparison should mention them.

What customers have written about them:

Anthony G., Angi

Rated 5 out of 5

Reliable was a trusted partner from design through final inspection. What I liked most was their attention to our vision. They discussed ideas, made suggestions, and offered alternatives before we finalized the design. Their design manager patiently guided us on selections, colors, and materials.

4. Normandy Remodeling

Normandy is the volume design-build firm in this group, with architects and designers on staff and a stated 300-plus completed projects in Naperville alone since the company opened in 1979. That is a deeper local track record than most remodelers can document.

Their award record is the most independently verifiable on this page. NARI of Greater Chicagoland named them Contractor of the Year in 2024 in two separate residential kitchen categories, and they hold 27 Houzz awards spanning 2012 to 2026 with a 4.8 rating across 111 reviews.

Two things to weigh. Their showrooms are in Hinsdale and Evanston, so there is no Naperville office to walk into. And Houzz lists their typical project range at $50,000 to $750,000, which places them firmly at the premium end of the market.

What customers have written about them:

Hope L., Naperville, IL

Rated 5 out of 5

I really enjoyed the designing experience with Abby Osborn. Abby was creative and listened to my requests and ideas and helped me integrate them into the plans She was helpful creative and solved any glitches in a timely way.

5. Biango Construction

Nick Biango has run this family operation out of Naperville since 2009, and the review record is the cleanest of any company here: 5.0 across 77 Angi reviews with nothing below four stars, plus a matching 5.0 on HomeAdvisor. For a firm of this size, that consistency is unusual.

What customers write about most often is the cabinetry. Biango builds it in house, which is rare at this scale and gives homeowners a route to custom sizes at a semi-custom price. Because the owner is on site, the person quoting the job is the person running it.

The honest caveat is scope and paperwork. Kitchens are a smaller slice of that 77-review volume than the rating suggests, with decks, basements, and bathrooms making up much of it, and the company publishes no licenses, certifications, or association memberships.

6. Bayern Builders, Inc.

Bayern works out of Darien, about fifteen minutes from Naperville, and has been remodeling Chicagoland homes since 1996. Their Naperville kitchen page reads like it was written by someone who has actually worked here, naming Hobson West by name and describing the separate, walled-off kitchens common in the 1960s and 70s housing stock.

The ratings back it up. Bayern holds a straight 5.0 on Houzz across 103 reviews with Best of Houzz recognition every year from 2021 through 2026, a 5.0 Google average across 44 reviews, and a 2025 Nextdoor Neighborhood Fave.

Two caveats keep this honest. Bayern claims no NARI or NKBA membership, so their credentials are review-platform awards, and a good share of their reviews describe bathrooms and painting alongside kitchen work. Their Angi listing is also brand new with no reviews on it yet, so research them on Houzz and Google.

7. Synergy Builders, Inc.

Founded in 2002 by John Habermeier and Steve Taylor, Synergy is a genuine design-build operation with CKBD-certified designers on staff and a dedicated Naperville kitchen page that references work already completed for neighbors here.

Their third-party verification is the strongest of any company on this list. GuildQuality surveys every customer, so the sample is not self-selected, and Synergy holds a 4.8 across 215 verified surveys there, alongside twelve Best of Houzz awards, a 4.9 Houzz rating from 72 reviews, NARI and NKBA membership, Pella certified contractor status, and a three-year craftsmanship warranty.

The trade-off is distance and recency. Their office sits in West Chicago, about twenty minutes north of town, their published customer base leans toward West Chicago, Wheaton, Carol Stream, and Winfield, and their Angi review flow has been quiet since 2020. We found no Naperville-tagged review among them.

8. Crimson Design & Construction

Crimson operates from West Fifth Avenue in Naperville and is led by Glenn Zagon, a licensed AIA architect. That matters for kitchens that involve removing a load-bearing wall, bumping out an exterior corner, or reworking a roofline over a new addition, since the structural drawings and the cabinet plan come from the same office.

Their credential list is long: AIA, ASID, NKBA, NARI, and NAHB membership, Best of Houzz service awards across eight years, a Naperville Small Business Award, and a Qualified Remodeler Top 500 placement.

Where they fall short is transparency and recency. Their verified survey reviews all date from 2011 to 2013, their website publishes neither a founding year nor an address, and the homepage leads with sunroom work ahead of kitchens. Two different Naperville addresses appear for them across listing sites, so confirm the current one when you call.
