Meet Josh Harvey
Hello! I’m Josh Harvey, owner of Silhouette Builders, Inc. We’ve been in business since 2011, servicing Yorkville, Naperville, Plainfield, St. Charles, Geneva, and surrounding areas of Illinois.
I started this company from a place of calling. I was raised in a contractor household where my grandfather was a union carpenter, so it was bred into me at a young age to create in this way. As I gained experience, I found that I truly felt like I was put on this earth to build custom homes for others. I love creating places of safety and sanctuary for people, and I love making it comfortable and beautiful at the same time.
I’ve been doing this for more than 25 years, and I plan on continuing to do this for my community for just as long. If you wonder how genuine I am in this passion and mission, just ask my wife and 5 kids!

Here’s what we mean. As a homeowner, you have ideas and thoughts of what you’d like your home to look like. But, those ideas and thoughts most likely stem from random things you find online, on socials, or on TV.
What we understand from that is – you know the kinds of things you like, but maybe don’t really know what it will end up actually looking like in your own home.
This is where our vision comes in. Our mission is to give you the space you didn’t know you wanted or was even possible. We’re confident that your final result will take your breath away and exceed your expectations.
